In politics, being a good party man creates opportunities for success. In the past, those who worked for their personal interests otherwise known as "stomach infrastructure" never cared if their party won or lost election.
As a result of this, some hungry and tricky fraudsters masquerading as party officials in the state jumped sheep simply because they were unable to be contented with what they have.
At the heels of these menacing cases and complaints, there is a young dynamic, ebullient, active and emerging politician of unequalled value, Hon Barr Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu who has avoided all entreaties and inducements by enemies of the state to join sheep simply because of the survival of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and the entire citizens of the state. This is indeed a demonstration of core "native sense" that should be applauded.
In his bid to replicate this and work for his dear state and its citizens, Hon Barr Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu played host to his party's Governorship candidate, Distinguished Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu and his Deputy, Rt Hon Jones Onyereri at his office, National Assembly, Abuja. This is to demonstrate his total acceptance and endorsement of his party's candidates ahead of the November Governorship poll.
Not only that Hon Ikenga loves Imo state and its citizens as a son of the soil, he believes in the sacredness of the state and as such, works towards its revival especially, now that his party is out to make Imo safe again. What Ikenga did is a clear showcase of class, desire and love for his party, his state and his people as a patriotic Nigerian and a good governance campaigner of modern standard.
In the past, some political liabilities had assumed that our own Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu, representing the good people of Ideato nation would not support his party's Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates, but today, those predictions have become futile.
Not only that Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu is fully on ground to render his maximum support for the delivery of the party in the November 11 Governorship election, our ebullient Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu comfortably accepted to serve as Secretary (Media/Publicity) Sub-Committee of the party's National Campaign Council for Imo State election.
In his avowed belief for good governance and a little more exit from the current insecurity in the state, Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu suffered humiliation, harassment, assaults and destruction of his building at his country home, Ideato North. Infact, those who came to murder him ended up killing his uncle. What a wicked politics Imo people have found themselves!
What a man with great desire to save his state and his people in a time like this! Hon Ugochinyere is not only dogged but rugged and efficacious in pursuit of any cause he believes in. No wonder, all tricks by the APC administration to cage and silence him was a hoax!
Hon Ikenga minces no words, he pretends not, and he minds no one's business whenever he is on a mission to deliver and to secure a people that have been disfigured and disengaged from the current modern economic dividends by those working for their personal needs. What remains in Imo now is to save the state from known and unknown "demons" ever busy tormenting the people.
Such bold fight to liberate the state can never be fought without fearless, bold and vibrant people like our own Ikenga Ugochinyere Ikeagwuonu leading the sqaud of champions in Imo!
