The Chief Executive Officer of TMT Travels & Tours Ltd, Mr. Ifeanyi Onukwubiri has been invited by the operatives of the Imo State Police Command for questioning over petition against him for alleged involvement in fraudulent activities.
Our reporter gathered that over 200 clients of the travel agent company who signed the petition accused the TMT CEO of collecting huge amount of money and their international passports but failed to secure visa for them.
The petitioners said that Mr Onukwubiri, aside not securing the visa for them, withheld their passports and refused to refund them the monies paid to him as the visa processing fees, which run in billions of Naira, some since two to three years ago.
The Command's spokesman, DSP Henry Okoye, in a release availed to newsmen said the Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma has ordered full investigation into the matter and appeal for calm from the petitioners and Nigerians in general.

Okoye said, "Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma, has directed the Monitoring Unit to embark on a thorough investigation following allegations of visa fraud and obtaining money under false pretence levelled against TMT Travels & Tours Ltd by several complainants.
"As part of the investigation, nine (9) Nigerian passports have been recovered, and the CEO of TMT Travels & Tours, Mr Ifeanyi Onukwubiri has been invited for questioning to assist the Police in ascertaining facts.
"The Command appeals to the public to remain calm, assuring that efforts are ongoing to recover funds paid for visa services as well as any additional documents belonging to affected persons. Citizens are also cautioned to exercise due diligence when engaging in visa or travel schemes.
"CP Aboki Danjuma reassures Imolites of the Command’s commitment to justice, public safety, and protection against fraudulent activities."
When contacted, the TMT boss attributed the saga to a gap in communication and handiwork of some mischief makers bent on making big issues over what he described as resolvable matter.
He assured that all concerned passports in his custody would be returned and the money issue sorted out amicably as soon as possible.
