Imo State Governorship Candidate on the platform of Action Democratic Party, ADP, Dr. Kachi Nwoga has called on the people to explore the tourism potentials of the state for the socio-economic well-being of the people.
He said that the tourism potentials in the state if effectively tapped would create job opportunities for the greater number of the unemployed Imo youths, enhance economy as well as boost overall development of the state.
Nwoga made the called in a release signed by his Director, Media Strategy for Hazie Imo Campaign Organization, Mazi Abso Baba and availed to Society Mirror.
He assured Imo people that if elected in the forthcoming November 11th governorship election, he would formulate sound and proven polices and programmes that would lift 43 percent unemployed youths of the state from the street.
He said, "Again, let me assure, that the tourism potential of our dear State which has been left untapped for so many years shall be brought to life and used to offer job opportunities for the 43% unemployed youths languishing on our streets, through a concatenated, robust, sound and proven development program."
The technocrat and astute politician also used the opportunity to invite key stakeholder, politicians, captain of industries, his friends and associates, among other prominent personalities and groups to the 2023 Mbaise national Iriji festival, an age-long cultural ceremony of Mbaise people.
