He stated that all candidates from Owerri zone for the election are men of credible character and capacity, adding that if any of them is being elected, the entire citizens would experience cum enjoy quality leadership and good governance.

He lamented the continued marginalization and suppression of Owerri zone in political sphere of the state, stressing that, "the Owerri people are predominantly well-read and very intelligent, but yet to be allowed to produce the governor of the state for even a term."

According to him, "it is repugnant to fairness, equity and Justice for any particular zone to want to keep producing governor of Imo State to the detriment of others in the face of an existing Charter of Equity, which advocate rotation of power amongst the three zones of Orlu, Owerri and Okigwe."

"So I appeal to my people of Owerri zone and Imolites in general to shun pecuniary gains of the moment and objectively support any of us (candidates) from Owerri zone. I can assure you that each of us is credible and capable of delivering effective leadership and dividends of democracy if elected."

He further said, "I also want you to help us sensitize our other brothers from Orlu and Okigwe zones on the need to uphold equity, fairness and justice in the coming election.

"This will enable them make informed decision of voting only candidate with the leadership capacity, competence, integrity and content of character that will bring about effective and productive governance for Imo State."
