NUISS elects new Excos, as Anochie emerges president-elect

National Union of Imo State Students (NUISS) has elected new executive members to pilot the affairs of the Union for the calendar year.

NUISS, the supreme council of Imo state students, got the leadership at its national convention, held in Owerri, the Imo state capital, Thursday. 

The election which saw those involved scaled through the DSS screening emerging unopposed, was adjudged as the most peaceful and successful exercise in the history of the union.

The release by the NUISS Board of Trustees, reads, " This is to formally congratulate the under listed NUISS officers-elect for emerging unopposed.

"We want to thank you all for believing in the Electoral Committee and scaling through the DSS screening successfully.

"We also thank his Excellency, the Governor of Imo state; Sen. Hope Uzodinma who is our amiable National Grand Patron in whom we are well pleased.

"To our ever dogged and dynamic National Patron; Hon. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, we can not thank you enough for the continous support.

"We also want to thank the Department of State Security Service, Imo state for their security advice and guidance so far.
