A team of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA operatives, Imo State Command has intercepted and arrested one Chidiebere Obijuru 'm' 48 years in possession of 17 blocks of Cannabis Sativa weighing 7 kg.
A source close to the agency who disclosed this to Society Mirror said the suspect was arrested by the team while on motorized patrol along Owerri -Onitsha expbeing highway today, being 15th November, 2023.
It was further revealed that one Mr. Ifeanyi Orji, 33 years old on Wednesday was also arrested by the agency for being in possession of Illicit drugs and substances worth over Ten Million Naira.
The seized items were listed to include 52,0000 capsules of Tramadol 100 mg, 4000 tablets of Tramadol 225mg weighing 29.177kg.
Others were 26,320 tablets of Diazepam weighing 5.765kg, 325 bottles of FSP cough Syrup with codeine of 32.5 litres and 100 pieces of Molly weighing 49.62 grammes.
The source said, "also on the 13th of November, 2023, a team of NDLEA operatives on motorized Patrol along Owerri -Onitsha express way intercepted one truck marked XS 669KRD driven by one Orji Ifeanyi ' m' 33 years.

"Upon search, 52,0000 capsules of Tramadol 100 mg, 4000 tablets of Tramadol 225mg weighing 29.177kg, 26,320 tablets of Diazepam weighing 5.765kg, 325 bottles of FSP cough Syrup with codeine of 32.5 litres and 100 pieces of Molly weighing 49.62 grammes were seized.
"Investigation of the case with a view to apprehending the consignees have commenced."
