It is not in doubt that Nigeria our country, the once upon a time giant of Africa, is crumbling per every second beyond the understanding and management of the state actors.
The political leaders are obviously overwhelmed by the burden of governance but are merely hanging on for the allure of power, paraphernalia of office and to satisfy their whims and caprices.
Poverty has assumed a levelling dimension and stark reality.
The rich that should serve as support base for the "have nots" are caught up in morbid fear of becoming poor, hence they still struggle voraciously for the crumbs left for the poor, leaving them naked to end up in continual want.
As never before Nigeria our country, our state and local communities are deeply divided along various lines; ravaged by poverty, hunger, sickness and extreme lack. Strife, bickering, inter and intra communal squabbles manifest in fearful proportions.
Our fault lines are boldly highlighted while the ties of bond that binds us together are flapped and loose. Things have fallen apart because the centre can no longer hold.

One thing is sure, God will never abandon his people. Just like God raised Moses for the embattled Israelites in the days of Pharaoh, He has touched the hearts of great men and women of this era, our Moses of today, to plough back their hard earned resources towards alleviating the suffering of the people without counting cost.
These are men of valour, of sympathy, empathy and love. They are the heroes and heroines of our time and should be celebrated even against their wish.
The great Nsu clan of Ehime Mbano, Imo State has these calibre of men in many folds, but for this particular instance attention shall be drawn to one of such men.
He is High Chief Bruno Aloysius, Onyeso, Omeudo Gburugburu1 of Umuakagu, the quintessential peace maker of Umuakagu Community, the man whose love runs deep.
Though a health worker in a country across many oceans, but his heart is always set to the uplift, sustainable development and peace of his people.
This great gift to humanity, Nigeria and Nsu clan, who is uniquely different in his own right, always finds the mysterious connection between him and the next person.
He tries to understand what the other person is feeling and sees the world through the eyes of others despite the difference.
No wonder he gives out something of himself to the needy despite his own demanding needs.
His immense generosity lay credence to his spontaneous response in giving a helping hand to the poor and lowly.
He is always committed to human capital development, search for sustainable peace and tranquility and provision of finance for use in areas of direct needs for the poor.
This act of benevolence is not limited to his upward bound and dynamic community of Umuakagu, but extends to other communities in the great Nsu clan.
It is these uncommon attributes of Chief Bruno and his consistent support to his beloved people of Umuakagu that made the revered traditional ruler of that domain, HRH, Eze Emmanuel Ibechi, the Akagu 1 of Umuakagu to bestowed on him the meritorious traditional chieftaincy title of Omeudo Gburugburu 1 of Umuakagu.
Just as there is something in a name, Chief has continued to live out his name and title in a manner that dumbfounds the ordinary man.
His broad worldview and superlative training in health care delivery, account for his professional finesse and panache, which resonates on the tender care and love that he brings to bear on the sick and weak.
That explains why his heart aches when he sees people die of treatable diseases and wounds that fester owing to ill trained medical personnels and high cost of health care in a poorly equipped hospitals.

Some have also argued that his professional training is also largely responsible for his peaceful disposition and vigorous pursuit of peace for all.
His legendary role in restoring peace in Umuakagu, has once again return the great community to the path of relative peace, cohesion and social equilibrium.
It is an open secret that the once peaceful and boisterous Umuakagu community got enmeshed in inexplicable intra- communal strife that degenerated to internecine rivalry.
It is the wisdom, resourcefulness and glowing love for the community that led the Peace Maker, Chief Omeudo, to collaborate with best brains of Umuakagu to assembled a Peace Committee that interfaced with the traditional ruler and all warring factions to search for lasting peace. Today, to the glory of God, peace has returned in the community.
This uncommon but consistent altruistic benevolence of Chief Bruno Onyeso, again moved the traditional ruler and the cabinet, to seek to confer on him the highest traditional chieftaincy title in Igbo land- *Super High Chief.
The correspondence to that effect reads in part: " in recognition of your personal and untiring efforts both financially and socially to ensure that your community comes back to the part of lasting peace and reconciliation, the Akagu 1 of Umuakagu in conjunction with Akagu's cabinet have resolved as follows: to extend to you a meritorious award of honour for initiating a successful peaceful process in Umuakagu...to upgrade your chieftaincy certificate to *Super High Chief* which is the highest chieftaincy title in Igbo land".
It is important to mention that Chief Omeudo worked hard for peace in Umuakagu so as to stimulate development. Because there cannot be development in an atmosphere of bickering, rancour and strife.
He has therefore announced that the upgrade of his Chieftaincy title to Super High Chief, will dovetail into the establishment and upgrade of his medical institution in Umuakagu: Covenant Medical Centre situated along Oriagu/Umuahia road.
He has therefore earmarked the 26, Dec, 2023, 9a.m on the dot, for free medical services in his hospital where five surgeries are billed to be carried out on lucky ones. The chieftaincy title conferment proper will hold on the 27, Dec, 2023.
The hospital will record 24 hour resident doctor and medication will come with subsidy, courtesy of High Chief Bruno Aloysius Onyeso, Omeudo Gburugburu, the Super High Chief of our time.
What a way to develop a community!
Sir, as I join the great and good people of Umuakagu and the progressives across and beyond Nsu, to celebrate you on this highest honour in chieftaincy conferment, remember that it is a call to a higher selfless service to humanity.
