Chief Uche-Chris Okoro, a business mogul, industrialist and philanthropist has been appointed the new Apex Leader of the All Progresives Congress, APC of Obollo ward.
Obollo ward is in Isiala Mbano Council of Imo State with voters strength of over 8000, and which has APC as currently the dominate political party in the ward.
In a release signed by Mr. Chima Njoku (ward Chairman), Mr. Fidelis Ugwuneri (Secretary) and Clan Chief Tonyblack Nduka (General Leader), Chief Okoro, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Ikemba Amaukwu Ventures, Owerri, replaced Hon. Bright Nwachukwu as the new Apex Leader.

According to the release, Chief Okoro aside been a committed APC stalwart and a huge financier of the party in the ward, has contributed immensely to the overall good, growth and development of APC in the ward.
Also in a congratulatory message written by the APC Obollo Ward executive members for Chief Okoro, the party chieftains described him as a people-oriented personality with proven track record cum antecedents, and one who possesses quality leadership traits, integrity and humanity, "needed to continually drive the APC in the ward to further successes."
The congratulatory message partly reads, "The entire APC faithful of Obollo ward led by Hon. Chima Njoku congratulates Chief Uche-Chris Okoro on his well deserved appointment as the APEX LEADER of Obollo Ward.
"We are strongly convinced that you will bring to good use your leadership capacity and ingenuity to continually support and contribute to the overall growth, development and success of our great party, APC in Obollo ward.
"We pray that God will also afford you the grace and strength to continue to work towards achieving the goals and objectives of our APC Obollo Ward for the general well-being and interest of the entire party members and people of our area in general. Congratulations"
