— Agrees To Support Sen. Hope Uzodimma For 8 Years To Hand Over To Owerri Zone.
The Traditional Rulers from Owerri Zone, under the leadership of His Royal Majesty Eze Akujobi David Osuagwu, Oshimili II, Ezikoche II of Awaka Ancient Kingdom and Chairman, Owerri Zone Council of Traditional Rulers, held their stakeholders meeting at Obi Ndieze auditorium, Owerri the Imo State capital where they resolved among the following;
1. That they have fully align themselves to the "Imo Charter of Equity". Which is expected to bring sanity and decorum to political aspiration in the State, and
2. That they fully support His Excellency, Sen. Hope Uzodinma 2rd term bid in office as Governor of Imo State, which is inline with the Imo Charter of Equity and in recognition of his numerous achievements as Governor within three and a half years.
3. The Royal Fathers further agreed that the Imo Charter of Equity that after Sen. Hope Uzodinma eight (8) years in office as Governor, it will be the turn of Owerri Zone to produce the next Governor of the State.
4. While calling on their Sons and Daughters from Owerri Zone to reconsider their stand for now and avoid heating the polity and respect the Imo Charter of Equity untill 2027 when it will be the turn of Owerri Zone.
5. On a final note, the Royal Fathers also joined the Governor, His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodinma in one accord to ensure there is peace in the State, which they consider as the bedrock for meaningful development.
6. Those in attendance are the nine LGA Chairmen of Owerri Zone Council of Traditional Rulers.
