Imo State Police Commissioner, Aboki Danjuma has tasked personnel of the command on dedication, diligence and professionalism, stressing that the force under IGP Kayode Egbetokun is committed to rewarding excellence in service delivery among officers.
CP Danjuma gave the charge on Thursday as the Command, in partnership with the Ikemefuna Jewish Organization, honoured Inspector Uche Chidiebere, a traffic warden posted at Warehouse Junction, Owerri, for his dedication and professionalism in managing traffic and serving the public.
The Imo Police boss lauded Inspector Chidiebere’s exemplary conduct, describing it as a reflection of the ideals of the Nigeria Police Force. He emphasized that hard work, discipline, and service to the public are values that must be upheld at all times by personnel.

Earlier, the Ikemefuna Jewish Organization, led by Ikemefuna Chidiebere Mbelu who presented an award plaque and ₦500,000 cash gift to Inspector Chidiebere, commended him for integrity and hard work, while urging other officers to emulate him.
Also, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), who was also in attendance, commended the officer’s efforts and called for more recognition of frontline traffic managers who contribute daily to public safety.
Inspector Chidiebere, filled with joy, expressed his gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, and the Ikemefuna Jewish Organization for finding him worthy of recognition. He pledged to remain committed to serving the public diligently and upholding the values of the Nigeria Police Force.
"The Command reaffirms its commitment to professionalism, rewarding excellence, and building strong community partnerships for safety. Officers are encouraged to emulate Inspector Chidiebere’s dedication, while the public is urged to continue supporting security agencies for a safer Imo State." DSP Henry Okoye, the Command's spokesman said in a release availed to newsmen shortly after the brief event.
