Imo State Police Commissioner, Aboki Danjuma has decorated the newly promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Oladimeji Odeyeyiwa, head of Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the command.

ACP Odeyeyiwa, popularly known as Ola and a former Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP is among the officers who were given accelerated promotion following their exceptional services, dedication, professionalism and operational achievements.

ACP Ola's promotion also followed his award as the Crime Buster of the year for 2023 and 2024 consecutively, a feat many considered as deserving, unprecedented and moral booster to him and other personnel of the Force.

Speaking, CP Danjuma congratulated the newly promotee and urged him not to relent in his ardent commitment to crime fighting and in ensuring security, peace and stability in the state.

He described ACP Ola as one of the best officers of the Command whose dedication cum professionalism has contributed immensely to crime reduction as well as enhanced public safety in the state.

The Imo Police boss also used opportunity to appreciate the Governor of the state, Sen. Hope Uzodimma and the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun for their continued and immense support to the Command.

He reiterated that the command under his leadership would continue to prioritize officers' welfare and also provide enabling environment for their professional development, progress and reward for services.

Also, Governor Uzodinma represented by his Chief of Staff, Barr. Nnamdi Anyahie showered praise on the Tiger Base Unit boss, while describing him as an asset to not only the Police Force but the entire humanity.

He reaffirmed his commitment to officers' adequate welfare and their operational activities aimed at combating insurgency, kidnapping, armed robbery and other forms of crime and criminality in the state.

"Governor Hope Uzodimma will spend all resources to ensure adequate security in Imo State. So far we are winning the fight against insecurity and today, we have gathered here to celebrate an officer whose contributions in the fight are obvious and commendable." Anyahie said.

In his vote of thanks, ACP Ola expressed profound gratitude to the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force and the Command for their trust and support. He pledged to continue serving with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, acknowledging the vital role his family, colleagues, media and community have played in his success.

The event was attended by senior government officials, including the Special Assistant on Monitoring and Compliance, Hon. Chinasa Nwaneri, Chief Principal Security Officer to the Governor, CSP Shaba Adamu Gboyako, alongside the Command’s management team, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers of the newly promotee.
