A reliable source in the Appeal Court Abuja has disclosed that the 2023 Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) will on Saturday, September 16 deliver it’s final judgement on the controversial February 25, 2023 Presidential poll results.
The source however told Society Mirror said though the date is subject to a change given any unforseen reason or circumstance.
Recall that the Tribunal, according to the Constitution, has a maximum of 180 days of filing of petitions to deliver judgment on the petitions challenging the pronouncement President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the February 25 presidential elections.

Hence, the September 16th is the final day available for the Tribunal to deliver its judgment on the three petitions instituted by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party (LP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) together with their presidential candidates, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Peter Obi, and Princess Chichi Ojei respectively.
The defendants in the cases are Tinubu, the APC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Recall also that the five-man Tribunal headed by Justice Haruna Simon Tsamani, after adopting the final written addresses of the parties involved in the suit, reserved judgment.
It said a date to deliver the verdict would be communicated to concerned parties and their lawyers.
