Burial of the legendary Nollywood actor, Don Brymo Uchegbu, popularly known as Don Brymo who died on the 15th June after he slumped while shooting movie in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria has been fixed for August 25th, 2023.
The late Nollywood icon, born on November 24 1966 in Anambra, Southern Nigeria, was one of the most-sought-after actor in Nigeria movie industry, who was known for his royal father roles, traditional roles, Epic, thriller, Action, Elder, Traditional chief roles in movies, etc.
Prior to his death, he won several awards. Notable among the awards are Best Actor in Leading Role at the City People Entertainment Awards, Most Promising Act to Watch at the Best of Nollywood Awards, Best Actor in Drama at the Africa Movie Academy Awards, Award of Excellence by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), etc.
Confirming his death earlier, one of his closest ally, a popular actor and singer, Harry B Anyanwu disclosed that Don Brymo slumped while he was on a movie set, and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he gave up the ghost.
He said “I returned to Asaba yesterday from Lagos, and was preparing to travel to Port-Harcourt, to meet him on set, before I had this sad news this morning.
“I just posted on the internet one of the videos I did with him alongside his own video, where he was saying people should appreciate him, while he was alive, and not when he’s gone, they will be praising him,”
Don Brymo, happily married with grown-up kids was said to have died of high blood pressure leading to him having partial stroke.
