Uzodimma's second tenure will favour Okigwe people, says Eze Ohanwe

The Traditional Ruler of Eziama Ancient Kingdom in Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State, His Royal Majesty, Eze Dr Oliver Ohanwe, urged media practitioners from Mbano nation to remain resilient in playing their role as development agents and watchdog of the society.

He reiterated that the media would remain an indispensable tool in all effort aimed at achieving quality leadership, robust economy, a better Nigeria and society at large. 

The first monarch in the country stated this when he received an Award of Excellence as the most outstanding Traditional Ruler of the year in Mbano Nation by Mbano Journalists Association (MJA), an association of Imo field journalists of Isiala and Ehime Mbano extraction, at his Owerri residence, on Tuesday. 

Eze Ohanwe who is also the Chairman, Governing Council of Benjamin Uwajimogu College of Education, Ihitte/Uboma, expressed gratitude to God for gift of life and appreciation to MJA for the honour.

He stressed that award which signifiesd genuine love from the media practitioners for him, would spur him in his determined desired to continually support and contribute for the general well-being of the people.

The first class traditional ruler who attributed his achievements so far, to the will of  God, advised political detractors in the state to jettison what he referred to as PHD - pull him Down
syndrome. 

He stressed that the state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma has performed creditably 
well in his first term in office,  adding that his second tenure would favour more the mbano cum Okigwe people. 

He therefore solicited collective support to Governor Uzodimma administration in order to enable him achieve for more dividends of democracy in the state 

He promised to use his office as the Okigwe Zonal Chairman of Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers  to project the Mbano Nation and Okigwe Zone to the state government in order to attract more democratic dividends to the zone.

Earlier while presenting the prestigious  award, the chairman of the association, Evangelist Kelechi Uzoma said that the award was in recognition of Eze Ohanwe's immense contributions towards the growth, development and general well-being of people of  Mbano, Okigwe Zone, Imo State and Nigeria.

He urged the renowned monarch to remain a leading example among his contemporaries; a beacon of hope to the downtrodden and an invaluable asset of the Mbano nation.
