Ex Imo PDP Deputy Chairman wins award for supporting Uzodimma, APC

Immediate past deputy Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Imo State and the Leader of Imo G7, Sir Martin Ejiogu has been honored with an outstanding merit award as the Shared Prosperity Government Ambassador by the Imo Progressive Movement (IPM).

Recall that Sir Ejiogu alongside six other including Nze Ray Emeana, Imo PDP Secretary, Lady Maria Mbakwe, the state PDP Woman Leader, Comr. Greg Nwadike, PDP youths leader and Mr. Collins Opuruzor, the PDP spokesman had defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC, with an intention to support the reelection agenda of the state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma in recognition and appreciation of his laudable developmental achievements and vision for the state. 

Hence, according to IPM, Sir Ejiogu was honoured for his tremendous contributions in the last governorship elections which resulted in the victorious emergence of Governor Uzodinma and Lady Chinyere Ekomaru as governor and deputy governor of the state. 

Sir Martin was honoured in a ceremony organized by IPM, a pro-APC group in collaboration with African Free Press Magazine at Rockview Hotels Owerri on Wed 17th Jan 2024.

The event which according to the IPM National Convener cum Facilitator, Rt. Hon. Eugene Dibiagwu was organised to appreciate Imo stakeholders and party leaders for their immeasurable imputs to the APC during the last governorship election.

Reacting over the award, Sir Ejiogu commended IPM for recognizing him amongst other political heavyweights for their immense commitment and contributions towards 
electoral victory of the APC in the last guber poll in the state. 

He also expressed gratitude to the IPM leadership for recognising his genuine support for Governor Uzodimma and his 3R led government in the state.

Others who received other categories of award at the event include Hon Chukwuma Ekomaru, the husband of the Deputy Governor, Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru; former Governor Ikedi Ohakim, State Chairman of APC, Hon Macdonald Ebere, Senator Representing Orlu Zone, Osita Izunaso, Nze Chinasa Nwaneri, Chief Enyinnaya Onuegbu amongst others.
