Nekede female student got missing after visiting boyfriend in Edo State

One Miss Gift Chizoba Ajuruchi, a final year student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Imo State, has been declared missing by her family members.

Society Mirror learnt that Miss Ajuruchi went missing after visiting her boyfriend (name unknown) who reside at Edo State last Monday, 8th January.

It was further gathered that upon the search for her whereabouts, the said boyfriend who is unknown to the girl's family members, admitted that she  visited and still with her but saud he will not release her to go for reason best known to him.

In a release made public by the sister of the missing girl, the police after being notified about the incident, had visited the boyfriend's house but met neither of them.

The release reads, “Fellow Nigerians, MISSING PERSON.

"We want to make this message to go to all platforms especially Edo State of Nigeria to help pass this message round.

"Please help us to share this update and picture of my sister, Gift Chizoba Ajuruchi, a final year student of Federal PPolytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, who went to Edo State to visit her boyfriend on Monday 8th January 2024 at Upper Owina Street, Egor in Edo State.

It continued, "Since that day up till now we never heard from her and we don’t know the guy.

"When we called her number, the guy said he will not release her. So we tracked the number of my sister, that’s how we got the location of this address. The police went there but could not get any trace of her."

"I want to share this update, so that Nigerians and Edo State government will look into this matter."
