... solicits continued partnership

Media practitioners in Imo State has been assured of robust welfare and continued partnership with the state government.
The assurances was given by the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Hon. Oguwuike Nwachukwu when he hosted veteran journalists in the state at his office in Owerri, on Thursday.
He said the Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma is committed to consolidating on his first tenure achievements and would stop at nothing in ensuring that Imo people enjoy dividends of good governance under his leadership.
He said that the Governor appreciate the invaluable role played by the media towards the development and general well-being of the state, and would always identify with the journalists in the state.
Nwachukwu also urged the veteran journalists and their colleagues to always prioritize reports that would encourage good governance and quality leadership service delivery in the state which he said are the hallmark of Governor Uzodimma's administration in the state.

"I therefore urge you to continue to support and encourage him by promoting his good works in the state. That will encourage him to do more and I can assure you that in this his second tenure, Imo people will all have reason to celebrate."
Speaking earlier on behalf of the veteran journalists, Mr. Val Okara of the Daily Times said the visit was to reiterate their partnership with the state government and to solicit for support to enhance their operations and welfare.
Other veteran journalists in the visit included Mr. Vincent Anolu, Daily Independent, Mr. Theodore Tasia of National Light, Mr. Joe Nwachukwu, Basil Ukwuegbu, Mr. Victor Duruamaku of Champion Newspaper, among others.
