The personal assistant to the Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, Kamantan Garba Isaiah has been promoted from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP to Superintendent of Police, SP.
Kamantan was promoted to his new rank alongside other 23 senior police officers including 3 Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) and twenty-one (20) Superintendent of Police (SP).
Some of the newly promoted officers include; CSP Okoye Echezona Kelvin, (Officer in charge of the Command’s Cyber Crime unit), CSP Humphrey Nwaneri Osuala, (Officer in charge of the Loin Squad Tactical Unit), and SP Mohammed Anas, (Station Officer of the Operations Department).
Others are SP Mohammed Ali, Commander Anti-Narcotics, SP Oparaugo Samuel Obidima (Second in Charge of IGP X-Squad, Imo State Command), amongst others.

Decorating the newly promoted officers on Wednesday, at the Senior Police Officers Mess, Owerri, the CP, Aboki Danjuma congratulated them while describing their elevation as well deserved.
The Imo Police boss emphasized that promotion calls for greater responsibility and charged the affected officers to brace up for tasks that come with their new rank.
The CP also charged them to strive towards excellence in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities, while recognizing the importance of upholding the tenet of professionalism and diligence.

In appreciation, CSP Okoye Echezona Kelvin on behalf of the newly decorated officers, appreciated the Police Service Commission and the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Egbetokun for the confidence reposed on them by elevating them to their next substantive rank.
He also assured the Imo CP and his management that they will continue to give their best towards achieving the organizational goal of the Force.
In the same vein, speaking newsmen shortly after the auspicious event, SP Kamanthan attributed the new rank to God while also appreciating the CP, his family and friends for their continued prayers and support.
He also used the opportunity to reiterate his commitment to discharge his professional responsibility diligently.
He added that the new promotion would spur him to do more for the general interest of the command and the society at large.
