Imo traders laud CP as Operatives recover stolen goods, return to owner

Operatives of Imo State Police Command, last Monday, intercepted some persons suspected to be shop bugglers and recovered from them stolen items and goods worth over Eight Hundred Thousand Naira. 

Society Mirror gathered that the suspects bugglers on sighting the operatives led by ACP Michael Abattam of the Owerri Urban Area Command who were on the routine mid night patrol along West-End road, Owerri abandoned the stolen items and ran away.

The operatives took custody of the items and after conducting a thorough investigation, discovered that the said items and goods belong to one lady simply identified as Ijeoma, Chief Executive Officer, Vivee Couture, and Fabric Enterprise, situated at Ekwema Crescent, Ikenegbu Layout, Owerri. 

And following the directives of the Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, the recovered items were returned to the owner, admist jubilation among traders around the area.

In appreciation, the shop onwer expressed her profound gratitude to the Commissioner of Police and the Area Commander for recovering some of the items that were stolen from her store.
 
She stated that her trust and love for the Police have increased and urged the people of Imo State to support the Police in the fight against crime and criminality.

In the same vein, other traders in the area also applauded the CP and Imo command for being proactive and pledged their total support to the command.

In a release signed by the Command's spokesman, ASP Henry Okoye, the recovered stolen items included a television set, a home theater,  and over 50 hi-target/wax hollandaise wrappers.

Okoye said, "the Commissioner of Police Imo State Command, CP Aboki Danjuma has affirmed that efforts are on top gear to arrest the fleeing suspects and make them face the full wrath of the law."

He noted that the Command remains unwavering in its commitment to clamp down on shop buglers in the State and will not relent in its efforts to make the State safer and more secure for economic growth and development.
