Ndubueze distributes rice palliative in Okigwe Zone

The senator representing Okigwe Senatorial Zone in  the red chamber of the national assembly, Senator Patrick Ndubueze, has commenced distribution of four trailers load of rice palliative across the 64 electoral wards of the zone.

The rice distribution flag off was held on Sunday, 26th, May, 2024, at Okigwe Zonal headquarters - Okigwe LGA of Imo State.

Declaring the exercise open, Ndubueze congratulated the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma on his victory at the Imo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.

On that note, the former Federal House of  Representatives member  appealed to his constituents to exercise patience while  bracing up for competent representation through his office, pointing out that he had come to serve the zone with commitment.

He hinted that the 3R government of Senator Hope Uzodinma, would in no distant time,  launch a mega empowerment scheme that would lift several  youths of the zone out of poverty, emphasizing the need for peace in the zone.


He called on the traditional rulers, Town Union Presidents and Okigwe Elders Council to advise youths of the zone to remain calm, highlighting  the importance of peace and tranquility in nation building.

He mentioned benefitiaries of the rice palliative to include the traditional rulers, Town Union Presidents General, the Religious bodies, security agencies and members of the public irrespective of party affiliation.

Speaking earlier, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr.Oliver Ohanwe, described Senator Patrick Ndubueze as seasoned senator, who believed in quality service delivery than listening to unfounded street gossips.

The royal father who extolled the uncommon virtues of the senator, called on his detractors to shealth their swords and join hands with him to make Zone  Okigwe great.

Hon Charles Babatunde  Ezekwem, Rt. Hon Maxwell Duru and  Hon Greg Owoamanam took turns to commend legislative activities of  Ndubueze so far in the Senate.

Present at the event were Hon Uche Anyanwu, Hon Acho Asiegbu, Hon Frank Onwumere to mention but few.
