Imo State Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma has urged vehicle owners in the state to comply to with the newly introduced third-party vehicle insurance policy for the overall good of the state and country at large.
He said that the enforcement of the new vehicular policy would among other benefits, help combat crime in the State, enhance economy of the state as well as boost public safety in vehicular related activities in the state.
The Imo Police boss stated this when he led top management team of the Command, staff of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service, IIRS, and members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW in the state on the sensitization tour cum enforcement of the policy across the state weekend.

CP Danjuma, reiterating that the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has zero-tolerance to corruption, tasked the enforcement team to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity while discharging their duties.
The CP warned that any personnel found wanting during the exercise would face severe sanctions, while soliciting public support and cooperation to the enforcement team.
The enforcement team led by CSP Isah Kolo, OC, Rapid Response Squad, RRS of the command, had Divisional Traffic Officers (DTOs), members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and staff of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service.
Recall that the enforcement of the third-party vehicle insurance policy, commenced across the country last Saturday, 1st February, following the directive of the IGP.
