Imo State Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma has assured Imolites, both at home and abroad, that robust cum proactive security measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful and secure Easter celebrations.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri on Thursday shortly after mobilizing for 'Show of Force Exercise', CP Aboki said the command has deployed massive personnel across the state to guarantee adequate security during festive period.
He urged the citizens and residents to celebrate responsibly and avoid any actions that could disrupt public peace, adding that all deployed personnel have been tasked to carry out their duties with the highest level of professionalism, respecting human rights and engaging with the public in a respectful and courteous manner.

The Imo Police boss further reiterated that the sale and use of fireworks, bangers, and knockouts are strictly prohibited, and violators will be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.
He also applauded the state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for his ceaseless support to the security agencies in the state, stressing that the command would continue rely on the collaborative efforts to achieve desired results.
In his words, "there would be massive deployment of security personnel in all nooks and crannies of the state. And on the Easter days, there would be massive deployment in all churches and places of worship in the state. And we are assuring all the Imolites that by His grace, there is going to be a peaceful Easter celebrations in the state."
Also, the Command's spokesman, DSP Henry Okoye in statement issued regarding the season said, "in preparation for the 2025 Easter celebrations, the Imo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Military, NSCDC, DSS, FRSC, NDLEA, and local vigilante groups, has implemented a comprehensive security operation to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents during the festive period.
"As part of this operation, security personnel have been deployed to key locations, including churches, worship centres, and major highways, where they will conduct patrols, surveillance, and intelligence-led operations."
"Additionally, Police Traffic Wardens and FRSC have been stationed at strategic points to manage traffic flow and ensure the safe movement of travelers throughout the celebrations.
