IGP Egbetokun receives encomiums over support for quality education at Police schools

Inspector General of Police, Kayode  Egbetokun has been applauded for his laudable support cum unwavering commitment in ensuring that students and pupils at all police schools across the country receive quality and quantitative education.

Chief Principal Security Officer to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, CSP Shaba Adamu Gboyako gave the commendation on Thursday at the 2025 graduation ceremony of Police Children School, Nekede.

He said, "I want to use this opportunity to thank the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, who has been supportive of the Force education department through investment in human resources and development, by supporting this school and other Police institutions in a relentless pursuit of academic excellence for our children." 

The Governor Uzodinma’s security chief who is the parade Reviewing Officer at the ceremony also used the opportunity to appreciate the Imo Governor for constantly supporting the police and other security agencies especially in area of ensuring adequate security and safer environment for enhanced businesses and academic excellence in the state.

CSP Shaba noted that the dexterity exhibited by the pupils during the parade exercise among other academic displays, "is a reflection of the discipline, dedication, and excellence, that this great school continues to instill in its pupils."

"Watching these bright, confident children march with such pride and purpose fills my heart with hope and pride for the future of our dear country. They are indeed our leaders of tomorrow because I can see among them, future Presidents, IGPs, Governors, Medical Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers and many more. Today, they have shown us that they are already on the right path." he stated.

"To the staff and administrators of Police Children School, I commend your efforts. Your commitment to shaping the minds and character of these young ones is truly commendable. You are not only teaching our children, but you are also molding them to become nation-builders.

"To our children, always remember that discipline, hard work, and respect will take you far in life. Keep aiming high, keep believing in yourselves, and always make your Parents/Guardian and your school proud." he added.

Also, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Henry Okoye who spoke to newsmen at the ceremony appreciated the police Commissioner in the state, Aboki Danjuma for his resilience in combating insecurity and carrying to later the Safer School Initiative of the IGP in the state.

The colourful ceremony attracted senior police officers, parents and guardians of the pupils, friends and relatives of the graduating pupils among other invited guests and personalities from within and outside the state.
