Imo State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma has commended the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun over his commitment to raising a highly professional and operationally ready police officers in the country.
CP Danjuma gave the commendation shortly after leading 260 police recruits from the Police Training School (PTS), Nekede, in a rigorous shooting range exercise held at the 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze, on Thursday.
The CP said the training, which brought together 154 recruits from Imo and 106 from Abia, was aimed at sharpening the recruits' marksmanship and operational efficiency.
He noted that the exercise aligns with the vision of the IGP to produce officers who are tactically sound, uphold the rule of law, and operate in accordance with international best practices—raising a new generation of officers who combine competence with character.

The CP, alongside senior officers including the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, DCP Hamzat A. Abdulkadir, the Commandant PTS Nekede, ACP Rilwanu Shuaibu, and the Deputy Commander, 18 PMF Owerri, CSP Abdullahi Wase, delivered impactful lectures on discipline, precision, and the ethical use of firearms in line with the Force’s mandate.
