Imo NUJ Chairman appoints Osuji, Amakaulo, four others Special Advisers

Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo State Council, Comr. Ifeanyi Nwanguma has appointed six Special Advisers to help in the pilot of the Council's affairs in the state.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a letter signed by the Council's Secretary, Mrs. Treasure Ihechi-Nwamah, 6th March, 2025.

Among the appointees are Comr. Collins Osuji, The Guardian newspaper correspondent and the Vice Chairman of Correspondents' Chapel, in the state, (Special Adviser, Security) and Miss Onyinyechi Amakaulo of theTrumpeter Newspaper, (Special Adviser, Entertainment).

Others are Comrade John Kennedy Uzoma of the Daily Trust Newspaper, (Special Adviser, Sports), Comrade Innocent Osuoha of the Trumpeter Newspaper (Special Adviser,  Religious Affairs), Comrade Brian Ifeanyi Agu of the Announcer Newspaper (Special Adviser,  Special Duties) and Comrade Paul Chukwu of the Groove FM (Special Adviser, Electronic Media).

Meanwhile, critical stakeholders in the media industry of the state while congratulating Comr. Osuji and the other newly appointees, equally applauded the Imo NUJ boss for leadership dexterity, vision and achievements. 

They described the appointment as unprecedented, visionary and one that will help position the council for continued progress and development.

Also, in their respective acceptance speech, the newly appointees expressed immense joy over what they described as a rare opportunity to serve the council, Imo State and the society at large.

They pledged their individual and collective commitment and support to the union and to continually contribute their quota to the general welfare of Journalists in the state.
