Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zne 9 Police Headquarters, Umuahia, Kanayo Uzuegbu has urged investors to invest in Imo State, assuring them that peace and stability have been restored in the state.
AIG Uzuegbu who made the call while addressing journalists during his familiarisation visit to the state on Wednesday, expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the Police Commissioner in the state, Aboki Danjuma, especially in taming the tide of insecurity in the state.
The newly appointed Zone 9 police boss said the achievements were made possible through inter-agency collaboration, proactive security measures employed by the CP as well as immense support from the members of the public.
He also urged the CP to sustain the tempo in crime fighting and ensure that the remaining criminal elements still inhibiting in the state are somked out and made to face the law accordingly.
To the officers and men of the Command, AIG Uzuegbu advised them to uphold professionalism and to key into the police vision and mission of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun aimed at achieving a Nigerian police force that is professionally, competent, service driven, people friendly and rule of law of complaint.

Earlier in his address, CP Danjuma described the AIG's visit as one that would strengthen existing security efforts in the state, stressing that through collaborative efforts, the sit at home threat that once disrupted daily life of people in the state, "is now a thing of the past."
He added that business activities have resumed fully, and residents now conduct their lawful businesses without fear; while police divisions in Orsu, Isiala Mbano, Agwa, Obowo and Ihitte-Uboma thar were previously destroyed have been rebuilt and are operational again.
The CP finally appreciated the state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for his steadfast support to the command while assuring that the commitment of the command to professionalism and strong inter-agency collaboration would remain essential in ensuring the continued safety of the state.
"Despite facing security challenges from secessionist groups and criminal elements, we have made notable progress in restoring peace. And to sustain our progress, we have put in place enhanced security measures in collaboration with other agencies to combat kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes." Danjuma said.
The Imo Police boss received the AIG and his entourage with top management team of the Command and leadership of Police Officers Wives Association, POWA and Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, members of the Senior Police Officers Mess in the state, among others.
