Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area including the LGA and Ward party executives have pledged to support the aspiration of Chief Uzoma Emeodi to represent Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
The pledge was made at a strategic meeting of the party leadership held on Thursday with the APC LGA Chairman, alongside the twelve ward chairmen, women leaders, youth leaders, and other critical stakeholders of the party structure within the LGA all in attendance.
The meeting convened at the instance of Chief Emeodi, in continuation of his wide-reaching consultations across the constituency, our reporter gathered provided the aspirant an important platform for dialogue, engagement, and the presentation of his shared vision for the future of the constituency.
Earlier in his address, Emeodi, popularly called OBA articulated a people-oriented vision anchored on justice, equity, unity, and inclusive development. He emphasized the need for purposeful representation that prioritizes fairness, empowers communities, and ensures that every part of the constituency enjoys equal opportunities for growth and progress.
OBA further reaffirmed his commitment to building bridges across communities, strengthening party unity, and promoting leadership founded on service, accessibility, and accountability if elected.
Responding, the APC executives and stakeholders expressed clear understanding of Emeodi's mission and vision for the constituency, stressing that his message aligned strongly with their expectations.
They expressed confidence in Emeodi's capacity to provide effective and impactful representation, while also commended his longstanding humanitarian contributions, grassroots connection, and dedication to the advancement of the constituency.
One of the party chieftains who spoke to our reporter on basis of anonymity said the meeting reflected a growing consensus that Emeodi's aspiration cum candidacy represents a credible pathway towards renewed hope and sustainable development for the Ohaji/Egbema, Oguta and Oru West people.
He said, "Chief Uzoma Emeodi continues to emerge as a symbol of renewed hope, a leader whose aspiration embodies the collective desire for justice, equity, unity, and progressive representation within the constituency."
Recall that the leaders of Ohaji/Egbema across all political divides under the platform of Ohaji/Egbema Progressive Leaders on Wednesday had also pledged their total support and vowed to galvanize collective votes of both Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta people to only candidates from Oru West, where Emeodi hails from.
They said their decision was based on equity, fairness, justice and inclusiveness, as well as to demonstrate brotherliness and solidarity to Oru West LGA which they said is the only LGA in the constituency that is bereft of equal opportunity at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, having been there only once as against three times people from Oguta and Ohaji/Egbema had occupied the position.
